People and Pets need homes

People Need:

1) Two working homeless families need sponsors for first and last month deposits to move into apartments in Los Angeles county. Contact us at info@basicneedsfoundation.org, if you think you can help.

2) Winter season is coming. It's cold to sleep in vehicles. If you have long, warm, used jackets with lots of pockets for both adults and children, please donate.

Animals Need Homes:

Chief, 4 yrs old male husky, 90 lbs, house trained. He is very good looking, OK with teenagers, NOT good with cats. House-trained in progress with a doggie door.

He gets along with another female dog at his foster home. His homeless surrended Chief to us, when the authority towed the car (their home) away. Chief is on a home trial .

Murphy - 10 yrs old, male, 35 lbs, poodle/terrier mix, neutered, vaccinated, house-trained. Although he cannot see well, he gets around ok. He gets along with other dogs and cats.

His homeless family surrendered Murphy, and his two other dogs to us, when the family finally moved to a housing assistance that did not allow dogs. Murphy knows the basic command. He has many years left and looks for a place to call home. He is being fostered & can only be seen by appointments.

Will : a white/tan lab/pit bull mix, 4-yr old, 65 lbs, microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered.  He loves people. Will is great with big dogs, he is not cat safe though.

He is being fostered with a few basset hounds. He can be seen without appointment at 6221 Shannon Valley Road, Acton, CA on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM - 4 PM.

Phil: He is about 9 years old lab/terrier mix, 48 lbs, neutered, good with some dogs, house-trained, NO kids, NO cats, likes to chase birds, butterflies, and rolls around on grass sun-bathing.

He has some challenge with his eyes, but his sense of smell is excellent. If there is a tiny morsel of food anywhere, he will find it. LOVES to eat.

Phil is on a home trial.
